The house is easily accessible for friends and family as it is close to all transport routes. The location of Charles House is ideal for access to the wide variety of facilities in Birmingham, yet is close to the beautiful country side of the midlands.
The home was originally registered in 1990. Charles House is the home of nine adults aged between 26 – 59 with varying degrees of learning disabilities and sensory impairments. 24 hour support is offered to ensure that daily care needs are met at all times. The aim of Charles House is to ensure that each individual regardless of learning ability or physical ability are empowered to be as self-managing as possible in all aspects of daily living including opportunities to express themselves, access community facilities, exercise choice and make decisions.
To ensure that each person is treated with respect, dignity, offered privacy and valued as an individual. Wherever possible and practical all individuals are offered the opportunity to be involved in decision making in all aspects of their service package. An integral day service package that is community based, offering tailored programmes geared towards individual need and interests is also included and facilitated via Charnat Day Care Services.
